Plan a panorama sweep.

Set the left edge and width of the scene. Enter how much of the horizon one photo covers in your chosen camera orientation. The result gives clockwise aiming directions for a tripod at one fixed position.

How the spacing works

The largest turn between photos is one frame’s angular width multiplied by the fraction you leave uncovered by the previous frame. For a partial arc, the first and last frames cover the edges and the centers are equally spaced. For 360°, the last frame overlaps the first at the same spacing.

Bearings run clockwise from north and are rounded to the nearest tenth of a degree. This is an angular plan. Lens distortion, nearby objects, camera movement and cropping can change the usable overlap when stitching.
