Your flight plan

First crossing

A clear gate gives you a choice. A blocked lane does not.

Two choices.
One useful pause.

  1. Look at the next gate. A pink × marks a blocked lane. A dot means the lane is open. The outline marks the gate you will enter next.
  2. Stay or flip before advancing. Stay keeps your current lane. Flip changes floor to ceiling, or ceiling to floor. Each button advances exactly one gate if the destination is clear.
  3. Read the whole route. Clear gates allow either lane. You might change early to prepare for a later hazard, or wait until the last clear opportunity.
  4. Compare routes, not people. The target is the fewest lane changes in this small puzzle. There can be several equally short routes. It is not an assessment of reaction speed or ability.

A blocked move leaves your route unchanged. Undo removes one successful move. Reset starts the same course over. Hint suggests one best continuation from your current route; an earlier extra flip can still keep the total above the course minimum.

Pass the screen

Try Signal Relay with a partner. One player reads the eight gates and describes a route. The other enters the commands with the map hidden. Your flight log shows exactly where the route held or broke.

Why a flip is
a decision.

Track the lane you are in, not just the number of button presses. From the floor, one flip puts you on the ceiling; another returns you to the floor. An even number of flips returns you to your starting lane. An odd number changes it.

That alone does not guarantee a clear route. The order matters because each gate checks your lane at a different point. A route can end on the correct lane and still hit an earlier obstacle.

Try a three-gate puzzle on paper

Start on the floor. Gate 1 blocks the floor. Gate 2 is clear on both lanes. Gate 3 blocks the ceiling. Write a lane for each gate before checking below.

Show two shortest answers

Ceiling → ceiling → floor, or ceiling → floor → floor. Both use two flips. The middle gate gives you a choice about when to return to the floor.

How this differs from the actual game

This exercise switches lanes instantly and waits for you. Fluxo is a moving arcade game with mid-air changes, timing, varied hazards and other systems. These courses do not reproduce its collision rules, levels or scoring, and completing them does not predict an in-app result.
