Patch one solution. Fern starts at space 4 and can only reach berry 7 within three steps. Let Fern go first. Moss then walks from 5 to 8, leaving the berry at 9 for Pip, who starts at 6. Choosing Fern, Moss and Pip in that order gives every creature a three-space walk.
