How this bouncing-ball puzzle works
The track has positions 0 through 6. Each step moves the orb to the neighboring position. At 0 or 6, its next step travels inward. There is no pause step, speed change or gravity in this simplified game.
One worked example
Start at 5 moving right and take four steps: 6, 5, 4, 3. The answer is 3. Count moves, not the starting position. You can reveal the full route after finding the answer.
Watch the first rebound (12 seconds)
Round one starts at 2. Five steps to the right land on 3, 4, 5, 6, then 5. The fifth move heads left because 6 is the end of the track.
A useful shortcut for longer routes
A complete trip from one end to the other and back takes 12 steps. Twelve extra steps therefore returns the orb to the same position. Use this only for this seven-position model; it is not a rule for RushOrb physics.
Two ways to land: partner puzzle cards
Find two different step counts that finish at the same position. One arrives moving right, the other moving left. Six cards, a seven-position track and a full answer key are ready for paper play.
