BIG NUMBERS / CLEAR COMPARISONS
950K or 1.2M?
See the gap, not just the suffix.
An upgrade price and a balance can look close while using completely different units. Expand both labels and compare the numbers you actually entered.

THE INTERACTIVE WORKSPACE
Put both numbers on the same scale.
Use a plain number or K, M, B or T. Up to 18 digits before the decimal and 6 after it. Use a decimal point; omit commas, currency signs, negative signs and exponent notation.
The comparison treats the entered labels as exact. If your game rounded either displayed label, its stored value may differ. This is not an affordability check against a live balance.

The convention used here
| Suffix | Meaning in this tool | Multiplier |
|---|---|---|
| K | Thousand | 1,000 |
| M | Million | 1,000,000 |
| B | Billion | 1,000,000,000 |
| T | Trillion | 1,000,000,000,000 |
This uses the short-scale convention. Not every game or language uses these exact labels. Check the game’s own notation; unsupported suffixes are rejected rather than guessed.
Three comparisons worth understanding
- 950K is smaller than 1.2M. Expand them to 950,000 and 1,200,000. The difference is 250,000.
- 1.5B and 1500M are equal here. Both expand to 1,500,000,000. A longer string of digits does not necessarily mean a bigger value.
- 1.000001T differs from 1T by a million. A tiny change in the displayed coefficient can represent a large absolute quantity.
A rounded label is not an exact balance
A label such as 1.2M may be an abbreviated display. Without knowing the game’s rounding rule and hidden digits, you cannot prove that two matching labels represent equal stored values. This tool compares the text you enter; it cannot recover information the label leaves out.
Why the bars sometimes look equal
The bars show relative size at limited screen resolution. A small gap can disappear visually even when the exact difference is nonzero. Read the expanded values and difference for that case. The ratio is rounded to three decimal places and marked approximate.
