How to solve a laser gate timing puzzle
Ignore whether a gate is open at departure. What matters is its state when the runner reaches it. Add the listed travel time to your chosen start, then wrap that arrival around the gate cycle.
A worked example from Course 1
Gate A repeats every four ticks and opens at phases 0 and 1. Leaving at tick 6 reaches it two ticks later, at tick 8. Eight wraps to phase 0. Gate B repeats every five ticks; arrival is tick 11, which wraps to phase 1. Both gates are open, so start 6 clears the course.
Why a later start can work better
Waiting changes every arrival phase without changing the travel durations. A successful start needs all gate conditions at once. The reveal lists every clear start in the allowed 0-to-19 window; it does not claim there are no later solutions.
What this puzzle leaves out
This is a discrete-time logic model. Crossing a gate is instantaneous, travel times are fixed, and the runner cannot pause between gates. It does not model collision width, acceleration, mid-air flips or the actual timing of Fluxo levels.
From planning to playing
Use the arrival cards to understand one failed start, then change the departure. When the logic clicks, Fluxo offers a faster arcade challenge with gravity flips and hazards. Your puzzle answer does not transfer into the game.
