Updated November 2026 · For mobile and home groomers who book by text
Dog groomer booking by text is how it is and how it will stay. This is for the groomer who does not want a portal, just a calendar that gets checked before every reply.

BookingSolved is a one-person tool built on Apple Calendar; it does not do Google Calendar, a team schedule, deposits, or a public booking link. It cannot read "the usual" without you, and it will not guess "next Friday". It never sends a message; every reply is yours to edit and send from the app the client used. Apple's guide to creating and editing events in Calendar is where the appointments end up, and the iPhone User Guide covers the Share Sheet the app uses to receive a message. We make the app, so read the listing yourself.
Not if your clients text you and keep texting you, which is most of them. A portal is one more place a booking can live. BookingSolved takes the other route: the client keeps texting, you keep Apple Calendar, and the app turns the message into a checked appointment and a reply you send yourself.
Only what you hand it. Paste the text, choose a screenshot, or use the Share Sheet; the listing says it never reads conversations in the background and never contacts clients. There is no connected inbox.
Service presets hold the name, duration and prep or travel buffer for each service; there are starter lists for groomers among others, all editable. "The usual" with no service named is flagged for you to pick, because guessing a two-hour full groom when they meant a bath is how afternoons collapse.
It books the slot and the service you choose. If two dogs mean a longer slot, set a service preset for that (Two-dog groom, 2.5 h) rather than hoping the buffer absorbs it.
No. No prices are stored and no money moves. If you take deposits, that stays wherever you take them now.
BookingSolved is free to download. We describe only what the App Store listing and screenshots show; read the listing for anything paid before relying on this page.
Composite messages from groomers we have talked with; the names and dogs are made up.
A booking proposal: Tuesday 2:00 pm, Full groom, your set duration and buffer, checked against Apple Calendar. If Tuesday 2 is free, the reply is ready: "Tuesday at 2 works for Biscuit, see you then."
Open times: a few slots inside your business hours, around existing appointments, using the Bath & nails duration and buffer. Copy the best three into the reply.
A reschedule: it finds Mochi's existing appointment, shows a before-and-after preview, and moves it only when you approve. Undo checks nothing changed first.
Flagged, not guessed. There is no date, time or service here. You answer this one yourself; the app only prepares what it can actually find.
"Next Friday" is flagged as unclear rather than guessed; the app asks you which Friday. Then the reschedule preview, then your approval.
Two dogs, one slot: the service preset handles duration; "usual" is flagged for you to confirm which service. The reply draft waits for your edit.
A cancellation: shows the exact event before anything is removed. Nothing changes in Calendar until you tap approve, and the reply is yours to send.
A toy version, in your browser, nothing sent anywhere. It finds a day, a time and a dog's name if there is one, and flags what is missing. The app does the real version against your calendar and your service presets.
Every text copied into a diary at night. Works until the night you do not, and the Tuesday that has two cockapoos at 2.
Clients book themselves. The regulars text anyway, so now there are two places a booking can live.
Paste the text, see the proposal checked against Calendar, approve, copy the reply. Clients keep texting; you stop double-booking.
