THE SHORT RULE
Pair the flips.
Two flips cancel as a pair: floor → ceiling → floor. Four flips are two pairs. Six flips are three pairs. An even count ends on the starting side.
One flip changes sides. Three flips are one pair plus one extra. Five flips are two pairs plus one extra. An odd count ends on the opposite side.
This is a parity puzzle, not a physics simulation. It ignores momentum, timing and obstacles so the odd/even rule stays visible.
